Not "Just" Duct Tape - Hanna Makes a Cool Flower!

Duct tape not only fixes everything but now you can be creative and make just about anything!  This was just a simple Bic pen transformed into a colorful flower.  You can make bows, flowers, wallets, flip flops, and much more. Follow these simple instructions below to make a flower pen.   Get any thin pen or pencil (if you don't mind covering the eraser)  Wrap a piece of duct tape around the pen fully covering it completely. Cut pieces of duct tape (at least 1.5 inches long; this will be the petals)  Take one square and fold the top corners in to make a triangle on top.  Don't fold the triangle too much because seome of the sticky side is needed to stick to the pen.   Wrap your triangle around the pen  Keep making petals and wrapping them around pen to create the flower  Another Fun Duct Tape Project - From Hanna! You need a small box and your duct tape.  Wrap your duct tape around, making an animal house! Or use it for a doll house or car port.   Use a smaller box and make a pencil holder or cut the bottom o the box with a half inch lip on it, cover with duct tape and you have a change or jewelry dish.   Have Fun, Be Creative, and Don't Forget to Share with US!!!        Stay Tuned for more step by step directions on duct tape projects. "On the Spot" Brain Games

Web version  |  Update preferences  |  Unsubscribe Like Tweet Forward Pocket Full of Therapy Brain Games Get those wheels turning with these fun brain games!  You can do the in the car, on the train, waiting in line or while getting on a plane.  These tricky brain games get those wheels turning!  Alphabet Games - Can you say the alphabet backwards?  Can you complete the alphabet if you start at letter K? What about starting at letter P? Sounds easy but give it a try.   - Pick one word, any word.  Umbrella or beach- how many new words can you make from the letters in that original word?  - Pick one letter- Now look around- how many items can you find that start with that letter?  How about finding items that end with that letter?  Number Games  - Can you count backwards from 100?  How about count backwards from 100 by 3s? 100-97-94-91-.......?   How about from 50 by 4's?  -  Look around for numbers- how many can you find?  Can you add them up or subtract them?  What number do you end up with?  - Play this next one with a 1 minute time limit.  Pick a number and an item in the environment.  You have one minute to find that number of your item.  Example for in your car: You have 1 minute to find 10 New jersey license plates.   Brain Games With A Pack of Cards All You Need is A Pack of Cards  Sort by color, Sort by suit - How fast can you sort out a deck of cards?   SNAP- You can play with 2 or more players.  Deal out the entire deck, place your cards in a pile and face down in front of you.  For each turn say "1, 2, 3 Snap" and turn over your first card.  If the cards match, be the first to call out the match.  You get those cards to put on the bottom of your pile. Give a Squirt - Fun Hand Strengthening Activities!

Clean them out and use them for these fun activities.  Also check out your local dollar store, they may have different sizes and styles. (Squeeze trigger or pump top) You can also try a standard water bottle. (You'll need to squeeze the bottle itself) Squirt Bottle Bowling: Line up toilet paper or paper towel rolls and see how many you can knock down with one squirt, maybe two!  Too hard? How many squeezes of your squirt bottle does it take? Can you do it in less next time? Squirt Bottle Races: Set up two golf tees with a ping pong ball on top of each.  Run to the golf tee, squeeze your squirt bottle until the ball falls off the tee, then run back- Who won?  You can also make this into a relay race or as an activity for one. Don't have golf tee's? Try using traffic cones, a baseball tee or typical water bottles without the top screwed on. Squirt Bottle Knockdown: Stack a pyramid of plastic cups and see how many squeezes it takes to knock it down.  How high can you stack the cups?  Squirt Bottle Art Activity 1: Fill your squirt bottle with water.  You'll also need coffee filters and washable markers.  Color in the coffee filters completely, using more than one color. Then, when the coffee filter is colored in, spray it with your water bottle until colors run together. When done, leave it to dry or squeeze coffee filter in a paper towel to dry faster.  Then take a clothespin and pinch the middle of the coffee filter- You have a butterfly!  Squirt Bottle Art Activity 2: Use several bottles. Fill each with a different color water or tempera paint (add extra water to thin the paint if needed for easier spraying). Place a large piece of paper on an easel or suspend on a clothesline and squirt away!   Other Squeezy Fun Products !
